Hello all: I am working on a Lawnboy model 10695 Ser.# 250014734, it doesn't have spark, but when I remove the ground wire I have spark, so I assume the kill wire is shorting out, problem is the ground wire loops around and eventually goes under the plastic shield back where the bagger would attach, and I am not sure what this is for, I tried eliminating it by just running a short wire to the little plastic box with the plunger to the coil, but it still didn't have spark, any suggestions would be appreciated.. note, I tried a good used coil, and changed the plastic box with the plunger, nothing changed, also this is a Honda engine. Thanks Ed

You are getting a ground somewhere. Somewhere there is a ground safety that is not being engaged correctly. You will have no spark with the ground wire grounded.

I found the problem, I thought perhaps the switch was bad that has the plunger on it, so I swapped it with one I had on another Honda engine, turns out it looked exactly the same but worked just the opposite, I switched it and the coil, and now have spark again, and it is running great. Thanks for the response.
