I'm a new member and just bought a 4656, any love for this model? I've been wanting a two stroke mower for a while and stumbled across this one. Runs great but the deck has seen better days and the bag has a small hole in the bottom. Its still very usable and it will do alternate duty with my John Deere. I plan to use my saw mix at 40:1 using Stihl Ultra and non-ethanol premium gas with Stabil.

most of them were designed to run on 32:1 so may want to add a little oil to it.

Thanks for the tip. I run my saws at 50:1 but have some 25:1 made up for an older saw I had. Guess its mower gas now.

I run my lawnboys at 36:1 using synthetic 2 stroke oil. On the oil container it says 40:1 mixture.

Well I cut with this machine a couple of days ago and wow, it s very comfortable. Light, powerful, and the handle is up at a nice height. It is cold blooded and takes a while alternating between choke and full throttle. I love the sound, puts a smile on my face and my buddy who came over as well. I love using this era of machines to do everyday work.

If you need the choke to keep it running that means the mixture is on the lean side. Try turning the mixture screw 1/4 turn counter clock wise.

"Light, powerful"... that's the essence of the two-cycle Lawn-Boy. All the mowers available on the market today feel like heavy pigs by comparison.
