I bought an otherwise good running lawnboy model 10685 push mower that is about 6 years old. However, I noticed that the even after tightening the drive cable, it still would barely self propel. Next, I replaced the trans belt, but this did no good either. I suspect that the drive pulleys are worn (it seems that the engine pulley is allowing the belt to bottom out). I can self turn the trans pulley and the wheels turn fine. Anyhow, at this point, do worn drive pulleys seem like the most likely culprit (and which one is more prone to wearing)? Finally, can someone give me a quick rundown on what is involved in removing and replacing these pulleys?
Thanks!
