lawn mower stalls

I have a craftsman 550 /4 cycle/ lawnmower which runs for 5 to 10 min then stalls . Can someone give me some idea of what to look for.

Fuel cap not venting possibly. Next time it dies, try loosening the cap and see if it will restart.
