My recoil was not working so I took it apart and rewound the spring now it is working but a wire spring fell out when I was removing the recoil. Would anyone know where this wire spring should be placed? I think it is used to hold back the starter gear but I can not seem to figure out where it should be placed or how it works.

The mower is a lawn-boy super commercial, model number is 6277 brick top the serial number is 284029. The Brick part of the mower is orange and the deck is beige. I don't know any engine info, is there a way I can identify it?
