LA115 Blades just stop

Hey all! Needing some direction here before I have to get a bush-hog for cutting yard. This is an issue from last year, so when this started I just used my mower to cut in-laws yard, but was going to try and get the Deere running this year. Father-in-law has a LA115 that the blades will just dis-engage. Stop.
The mower keeps running and going, but cutting will quit.
Thoughts?
I have another bone to pick with this mower but will start in another post.
Thanks for any help here.

You said that you would "try and get the Deere running this year." If the battery charge level is low on your infrequently used machine, the PTO clutch may not engage or stay engaged. This is universal on all brands with an electric PTO clutch.

Try charging the battery well before you use this LA115. A old or dead battery that will not hold a charge is also suspect. So check that too. A fresh battery may solve all your cutting concerns, so you can cut it often.

I actually took the battery from my downed Husq because the Deere batt was dead. Got its prime back and running sounds fine, blades engage but the test will be (which is in another thread) getting it to "move" and cut "on the go". You see, I have it starting and running but won't "go". Forward or reverse.
