See if the clutch dis-engages when you unplug the wire from the clutch. if it disengages then you have either a bad switch, or short some place allowing power to get to the clutch. if the clutch stays engaged with the plug disconnected then you have a frozen bearing in the clutch, and will need to replace the clutch. and like Rivet's said unless the clutch is stuck to the crankshaft, when you remove the retainer bolt should just slide off and possibly smash your fingers on the way down.
