I have a ZD25 bought used from the local Kubota dealership. It has a 25 hp diesel. Also have a ZD221. While mowing this morning, it seemed to work fine for about the first hour or so, and then would seem to lug even while at full throttle. Because it happened once before, I was thinking that maybe it had a fuel starvation issue. As I looked at it, I noticed that the ZD25 fuel system had a fuel filter on the inlet side of the electric fuel pump, as well as the outlet side. Both filters had recently been changed, and yesterday I hooked up a vacuum pump to the fuel line. Pulled a vacuum on the line to see if I could fill up the second filter.
1) Was just wondering if any others have experienced similar performance issues?
2) Does anyone know if they from the factory with 2 fuel filters?
