I was just wondering who has purchased the Kommander? What are your thoughts on it and if you had to buy again would you still choose the Kommander?

krackle,
A couple of users have posted that they see these new ZTR's "selling like hot cakes", but I haven't read a bunch of posts in this forum's Kubota Owners Check-In thread to that effect. Personally, my "jury" is still out until the Kommander has proven itself for a couple of seasons:0)

I bought a kommander about a month ago and I would for sure do it again. I bought the 127s and cut my mowing time in half. I did a lot of research and talked to a lot of people before I bought mine and am glad I made the choice I did. There is a recall on it but the dealership picked mine up fixed and delivered it the next day, a buddy works at a dealership and he told me the problem only showed up on a few mowers but kubota decided to make sure all the kommanders weren't going to have problems in the future. I was between the kubota and the exmark pioneer and decided for the money to go with the kubota. I hope this helps your decision.

We have sold 5 Kommanders in the last month, and every one is pleased with them.

Krac....

You prolly have read enough of my comments...STILL loving the machine. It does not feel like some consumer grade unit, at 750lbs this is a beast and the power it has is simply great. Feels like I really bought something well built.

One of the things that matters the most is...THE CUT. Made my old field look like the front lawn. AND HAS CUT MY MOWING TIME DOWN BY AT LEAST by 1/3.

I get about 3.9hrs to the tank full, which I think is great for how much I get done. I think that is less than I use to get out of my old LX-188.

FWIW...One thing that I would add into the cost and something I did not consider... is a lift.

THE ONLY THING...those blades are loud...at least to me. Three heavy blades at 1800+ rpm they are going to make a few extra db's. BUT I DON"T CARE.

Stay safe,

Mike

Are you talking about the deck assist lift?...If you are...I have read that they are not worth it

Yeah, I read a post about that although another user indicated that it may have been a "botched dealer installation". We would need more owners that have gotten that to comment on it's effectiveness!!

IT WAS ME THAT ME that made the initial comment on the lift assist.

Checking with Rivets he directed me in the right direction.

It seems to be working a WHOLE LOT BETTER.

My sentiment, just make sure your dealer has put a few of these on successfully ...look them them in the eye and ask them. If you get he 48" deck I would not worry about it BUT if you have the 54"...you "might" want to think about it.

It's still a crazy good mower, it's saving me a lot of time and the time I am mowing... I really enjoying it.

I have the ZG127S and starting it is the problem. It seems the injector at the bottom of the Carb is always sticking and have to take it apart to loosen the needle which is a pain. Any solutions that you know of to solve this problem. I only have 17 hours on the mower right now.

Take it to the dealer. Utilize the warranty and see if they can repair it.
