Sometimes the engine will start as soon as you turn the key. Other times you must turn engine by hand until it won't turn any further, then turn key and it will start. Already reset valves. Runs fine. just start problem

Is there a pattern to the no start. Like starts fine cold, but won't crank without turning the flywheel by hand hot.

I would be thinking either valve clearances even though you said you checked them or sticky compression release on the camshaft

Or it can be simply a worn out starter. I replaced quite a few of these starter that Bendix side bushing are worn and binding in certain positions.
Also note that the 32 010 07-S camshaft does not have an ACR.
