Are you planning on replacing the OEM blades with mulching blades??? IMHO, just blocking the discharge opening and continuing to use OEM h-lift blades will not be effective for mulching. You really need a complete "mulch kit" with the vacuum baffles(includes a discharge cover) and mulching blades to effectively mulch the grass clippings.

Not wanting to do a mulch kit. this will help me get from grass going into the flower bed and also it will provide me more room getting it in & out of the trailer and shed.

there are several different brands out there just looking for the one everyone is happy with
