My 10 horse kohler is pumping oil to top of piston . It was rebuilt and has low hours. A friend said it is the head gasket could this be it? Thanks Joey!

Is this a K, M, CH, CV ZT, or KT engine Model number with spec would greatly help so we can best help you.

The horizontal K series didn't normally pump oil on top of the piston unless there was a cylinder, piston, ring problem. Blown head gasket on the K series usually resulted in the engine running for 10-15 and loosing power and shutting down. Oil was normally blown out the breather or into the air filter if it had that type of breather system.

Now if the air filter gets oil soaked it can cause it to draw oil on top of the piston.
