I'm working on a Husqvarna 52" Z-turn mower for a neighbor.
the engine model sticker is not on the engine. and I'm trying to rebuild the engine but need the model number.
the information i have so far is, 2005 Husqvarna 52" (Model # 968999258) (ID# IZ5223TKOA)
Engine is a Kohler CV23 V-Twine 674cc. it's a Vertical Shaft. I think it's (24522388) but not sure.
I know the pistons have to be upgraded to type B piston. But i need the model #
is there any place on the engine to cross-reference to help.

Your best bet would be to contact Husqvarna directly, as they should be able to give you all engine information.

The model number is CV23. At sometime that engine has been short blocked as 24 522 388 is a short block part number. The B style piston and ring set for a CV23 is 24 874 54-S.
