I have craftsman mower with a CV16 engine and it will not start. I have spark and fuel, but still will not start. After cranking for a period of time the engine may fire once or may just backfire. Any suggestions? Thanks

Do you have last years gasoline it the tank and no fuel shut off switch between the tank and carb?
Air fire fuel are the trick - try dropping a teaspoon of gas in the spark plug hole and put the plug back in quickly - maybe you can get it to fire so it will run.
Some guys use winded spray bottles with gas for either direct shot into the cylinder or spray into the carb while cranking .
A complete tube is about $15.00 if you get the new rubber fuel line, fuel filter , oil filter & oil .
