Hello everyone.
I have an Ariens Hydro 42" with Kohler Courage 19.
The engine starts normally and then shuts off. Sometimes it runs for only a few seconds. On average it runs for maybe 90 seconds. Occasionally it will run as long as 10 minutes. I am not sure, but it seems like the ambient temperature plays a role; the hotter the weather, the quicker the engine shuts off. After it shuts off it becomes difficult or impossible to start again for a while. The flywheel turns and the engine cranks but it will not start.
There is gasoline in the tank. Gasoline flows smoothly through the fuel filter into the fuel pump. Cranking the engine causes the fuel pump to pump fuel normally. I have adjusted the throttle and choke in accordance with the engine service manual. I replaced the fuel solenoid this year and it does "click" when I turn the key. I have also taken apart and cleaned the carburetor (Walbro LMK) with carb cleaner and compressed air.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how to fix this problem? Thank you.
