I have a 1994 Simplicity Sunstar that I am replacing the CH20S Kohler with a Kohler CH680-3107. The wiring harness is different between the old engine and the new engine. Kohler website does not have any information telling what the old harness (4-pin male) is for the red, purple, tan, and blue wires vs. the new 5-pin plug for the new CH680 engine. How do I know if a red wire from the new engine corresponds to the red wire on the old engine (CH20S) or any or the other wires between the 2 engines? Does anyone know in general what a red wire is for, purple, blue, white, etc,.... and if Kohler was consistent over the years from 1994 to now? I am trying to wire this so I don't burn something out on the new engine, or wreck something before even getting it up and running. Thanks.
