Kohler 22HP ran hot due to build up of grass under blower housing. Attemped to remove for cleaning but could not remove housing completely although did manage to clean fairly well with prods, etc. Now, after putting back together and running 15 minutes, right side is not firing, so assume is ignition module or loose wire.

What is the secret to removing the blower housing without removing the engine. Surely there is a way. Shop manuals says remove side baffles, but so far have not figured what that is. Any help will be thoroughy appreciated.

Here is some attachments for your blower removal. Not sure what model you have, but maybe this will help.

Thanks for the help. As best I can tell these pics should give me enough information to get the job done. Had a build up under the housing which I managed to remove to some degree with long screwdrivers, etc, without removing the housing. Since then I have an oil leak and the right side coil is not firing.

I do have the model CH22 Kohler, which I should have mentioned earlier.

Again, thanks.
