Hey guys, I got a kohler 7000 series 20hp engine on a craftsman tractor I'm working on for someone. Its taking a while to start when cold (5 to 6 seconds). I've swapped the fuel pump from a good tractor, replaced gas adjusted throttle cable, and adjusted the choke linkage up one hole on the linkage as in the picture. It used to be on the lower hole. It is still not doing any better. The choke is going all the way closed in the full choke position. It also runs perfect otherwise, including with the choke all the way on. I think this is do to the spring in the butterfly valve arm though. If anyone has any experience with these or any tips please let me know. I'm going to try starting it while holding it closed manually, tonight.
P.S. picture wont upload if it would be helpful though I'll try again.
