Kohler 27 hp noise

Just purchased a Scag Tiger Cat with 27hp Kohler command pro with 34 hours, when the engine is at idle it sounds like it rattles almost like a shield is loose when you up rpms to mow it goes away. I have had all Kawasakis before is this the nature of these, don't know what this means if you just block off any of the exhaust it goes away. Does this sound like an issue.

Check the area around the exhaust. Have seen many shield in this area come loose.

Doesn't seem to be anything loose took a small piece of rod and push through the exhaust seemed to help maybe the muffler not sure doesn't seem to rattle when I hit on it though

Second thing to check is the unit and not the engine. Low engine RPM's causing vibrations in loose unit sheet metal parts.

I think it might be a loose baffle i ran a small piece of threaded ro in the exhaust and seemed to help, just hate it only has 34 hrs on it anyone repaired one or where is best place to purchase replacement.

I think i would take it back to where I found it and request some action to fix the problem.
