Kohler 17.5 Carb. problem

Hi My lawn mower will start But then the engine Races and run's at full blast no matter which position the throttle is in.

Any Ideas

I take it your talking about the anti- after fire solenoid. No, it wouldn't cause this problem.
So yes on both questions or just on the choke?
 
Yes there only one way to connect the metal rods to the carburetor
But when I start it roars and sounds like it going to blow up it used to run smooth
 
Understood but it has to be controlled by someone or something to stay open. I would check the linkages, springs, cables and also manually check throttle plate movement. If there is no binding anywhere and all is operating normally then it may be the governor.
