Kholer Courage 22 in YardMan (Cub Cadet) RZT 50 suddenly running bad

YardMan ran perfect last week. Parked it after cutting. Started it up today and it is running bad. Lots of engine missing sounds and unburnt gas. Sounds to me like a stuck choke. Have very limited experience diagnosing and repairing lawn equipment but do have adequate experience with auto/truck repair. Engine has about 500 hours and valves were adjusted about 50 hours ago. Stored in a conditioned environment. Looking for anyone that has seen this before in a Courage motor. Thanks in advance.
 
Have you actually checked for a stuck choke. Could be possibly what the issue is. or could be non firing cylinder due bad spark plug, bad ignition module, or even carb problems.
 
Gas was pouring out of the carb opening. Figured it was the float. Disassembled it. Nothing looked bad. Reassembled and it works fine now. Next time it goes bad I will just order a new carb.
