How many hours on the engine? Could be main jet starting to get restricted. Carb could supply enough fuel to run under light load but when under heavy load it's starving for fuel. Remove, dis-assemble and clean the carburetor completely to see if it helps. You can use a bread tie wire to gently clean the small holes in the main jet. Use some spray carb cleaner and follow with compressed air. Always use proper eye/face/skin protection when using chemicals and compressed air.

If you don't know how to properly clean a carb, youtube has some good videos to demonstrate. A picture is worth a thousand words.

If you are using "mulching" blades and cutting heavy grass, I am not surprised. The key is to use a slow ground speed. A mulch system does not allow the grass to vent and requires a lot of power
