In cleaning my Kaw 651V engine off, I noticed the lowest oil passage "allen wrench end plug" under the oil filter, had slight weep of oil under it (see arrow in pic) . Nothing earth shattering.
But w/only 12.8 hours on it. I had to check into it. (I would have anyhow). I cleaned the area thoroughly & then checked, sure enough the end plug was slightly loose. 35 in lbs is the TQ spec. So I added some "Right Stuff" RTV sealant around the threads & then tightened it up. I'll keep an eye on it as my OCD directs me to..
So FWIW: Just cause it's new, still need to keep an eye on things imo..
