Got some OE Kaw oil filters today, & reading the print on box says, self-lubricated gasket
No oiling necessary. Then on the filter is says to wipe a light film on the gasket as usual with fresh oil.
Somebody that reads the instruction how unusual is that?
If you even had a stuck on oil filter you will understand why a little on the seal is necessary. Those gasket are only self lubing on one side or they would leak.
