The lawn mower would run for 10 to 15 minutes until it got hot then would sputter and kill I could restart it right away but it would only last for a minute before it would do the same thing I looked on the forms and everyone was saying fuel problems I replaced both coils and I haven't had the problem since runs great starts easier than it ever did . So to answer your question on running problems with the Kawasaki motor replace the crappy coils the motor came with I paid $35 for a pair of coils on eBay . It took me about 3 hours to replace both coils and spark plugs well worth it.

First, the next time it happens check for spark immediately. You paid $35 for a pair of coils that cost $65 each. At that price I’ll bet they are cheap knockoffs and not OEM. Could be your problem.
