Have a Kawasaki FH680V 23 HP that I can't get started. Checked fuel and pump is working. How do I figure out if plugs are firing. Should I do a compression test? Mower just ran last week with no problem whatsoever.

Get one of those inline spark checkers, and give the rope a few pulls. If it don't light, your not getting spark.
