I have a 20 hp kaw air cooled v twin on a JD GX335 landg tractor. Runs fine for about an hour then starts to die unless you fully choke it and hold it there. After it sets for about an hour and after it cools down it will crank and run for another hour or so. Any suggetions are appreciated.

The problems I have seen with the 335-345 with the kaw liquid cooled engines have varied from debris in the fuel tank cutting off fuel supply, collapsing fuel lines, to fuel line getting hot and vapor locking the engine, to fuel pump quiting when it gets hot, to faulty fuel solenoid. All the above are possible problems for your engine.
Following IL ENG tips do the easy stuff first like break fuel line connections and look at the line bores-clogged? Change fuel filter. Look down into the gas tank for crud . Then move on to the harder checks.
