I found 2 threads, but no responses. A Google search didn't help either. Is there a way to determine at least the year a Kawasaki engine was made from the serial number? It's easy to find this info for Briggs, Kohler, Tecumseh...but not Kawasaki:thumbdown:. Kawasaki engine website doesn't help, and their contact page says only e-mails concerning warranty claims will be answered.

No you can not find the date from the serial number.
Have you used the equipment model and serial number to get a build date. Unless the engine is not original, it will tell you within a year when the engine was built.
