Hi,
Been struggling to repair my JS63C self drive. The transmission is engaging fine and the rear drive axel turns. The issue is the pinion gear does not make a connection to the wheel's spur gear. Its slips and makes a grinding noise like the pinion gear is just touching the outside the spur gear. I have replaced both spur gears and rear tires. Greased and cleaned like the manual says, made cable tension adjustments and I still have the problem. I'm going to replace the pinion gears for grins, but the current ones look fine.
Anyone have this mower that experienced similar problems and has some suggestions on a resolution? Thank you!
Chris
