I have a 18 month old Jonsered L4621 21" AWD self propelled mower with a mower blade that was getting pretty banged up and assumed a standard blade would fit. Upon closer inspection, that isn't the case. The breakaway pins are closer together than most and offset from the center line, so I'm not sure "universal" slotted replacements would work. Anyone have a source for reasonably priced blades?

For the benefit of future readers... Took a closer look and realized that while the OEM blade had offset pin holes, the blade adapter was traditional - pins aligned with the center bolt hole. Picked up an Arnold (MTD) universal blade and it fit right on. While I was doing that, I noticed the center AWD drive pulley was filled with grass clippings and hard dirt. This has the effect of making the pulley diameter larger and explained why the belt never completely disengaged when letting go of the drive bar. Made the mower a bear to pull backwards. Scraped most of the crud out, but I need to either pull and soak it or just replace with a new one.

It looks as if you've been mowing soupy mud.
Mowers don't like that. If you want your mower to last a long time, the less of that you do, the higher your chances will be for a long-lived mower.
Yeah. The yard is newly seeded and we're using a native grass blend that takes a long time to fill in. Even when it's dry, the cut grass has enough moisture to make concrete.

Ordered a new idler pulley as it wasn't particularly expensive. Wasn't getting far scraping off the mud, so I thought I'd take a whack with the pressure washer. Cleaned up nicely, including the pulley belt tracks.
