Here's the scenario.
1) I'm mowing.
2) It starts drizzling, and then stops
3) I decide to wash the mower (It's never been washed for 10 years). I hosed it down and brushed it with a gentle brush.
4) The drizzle stopped and the grass was still rather dry
5) I'm mowing for about a half hour long and dropped my phone
6) I turn the mower off, retrieve my phone, get back on
7) I won't start. I mean, it won't even crank
8) Since this problem just appeared I started with the notion that the seat switch (shuts down the mower if you get off it) was the culprit
9) I connect and re-connect the plug. Still no start.
10) I short the two sockets where the seat switch plugs in with a wire to check if the seat switch has gone bad
11) Still no fix.
12) I try to push it back to the garage where I can work on it but the wheels are locked like the transmission is still engaged.
13) Now it starts raining and I have to leave it in the rain and come in research what's going on.
14) The forward and backward pedals also seemed to be mushy. Maybe wet grass got up in there and gummed up the works?
Any ideas?
