I have a John Deere riding mower with hydrostatic transmission. The mower deck will not engage after mowing a while. It will stay engaged, but will not re-engage after being turned off. Have to shut it down and let it cool for a while, then it will engage. Will occur after shorter operating time if mowing on a hot day. Coolant light never comes on. Is there a temperature sensor from the transmission to the electric clutch that engages the mower deck?

Belts are adjusted. Seems as tho the electric clutch or solenoid is not engaging when hot

could be a safety switch thats broken and reacting to heat [ expansion and contraction]
