John Deere LX 279 blew blue smoke. Forums said it was blown head gasket. Tore it down and both head gaskets were fine. Re-assembled but still running very rough and jerky. No blue smoke this time.
Any advice to try next?

Also a leak down test. If unable then take it to a shop.
