Gas is new
The starter spins if that is your question
I have an LX277 and know a fair bit about them.
I am not a mind reader, sorry.
If you take the air filter off will it start with starting fluid?
If yes, then I would make sure the solenoid on the bottom of the carb bowl is opening.
there is a screw on the side of the bowl that you can turn out(best I can recall) and flush the gas out of the bowl.
If you take the solenoid off, the bowl will come off and you can spray carb cleaner up into to the jets,
Maybe you cpould get low enough to see if the float is moving and the needle valve. Or if gas comes out when the turn the bowl screw, you could ASSUME that the needle is free.
If it won't try to start with starting fluid you need to see if you have fire.
Since you got it to spin you must have satisfied the safety switches.
Mine sat a while and I had to blow air in the tank and push gas out the fuel line at the fuel pump to fill all the line.
Those things mentioned should be a good start to rule out no fuel or no fire.
