Are you using correct spark plug with JD part # M78543? Check threads inside head & see if they are buggered up & make sure spark plug gap is according to specs. per engine manual & torque spark plug to specs. Google: operators manual JD LX255 for information & torque specs. depending on which engine you have. Check engine oil level & adjust valves to specs. with engine cold per engine manual.
