I picked this thing up a week ago and I LOVE it. This is not my first lawn tractor but my first one in a very long time. I had an old rear engine snapper before and a front engine craftsman and both were old junkers.
On to the pics:
Ended up paying $700 for it but it seems to be in very good shape. First thing I did was mow the grass and this thing mows a ton better than my old Toro push mower. The next thing I did was disable the seat and the reverse mow switches...I HATE those things. Now I can't wait for the grass to grow where before I dreaded it.
I have found the LT155's to be reliable/rugged & with a little maintenance very long lasting - change the engine oil & clean the air filter regularly , grease the spindles & well before the transmission starts to exhibit any "slowing" tendencies change the fluid (time consuming, though not too difficult).
My 2x LT155's were both purchased S/H & one has over 1100hrs now without component change outs or failures.
Well I started cleaning the cart up. Unfortunately it's been too hot here and no rain for so long I've only been able to mow with the 155 once....(I used to dread it growing  )
On to the pics:
Had to remove one tire because the tube is popped and the tire itself is dry rotted and cracked bad.
I then took everything up to the car wash to pressure wash the whole thing. A ton of the yellow paint just came off.
This weekend I plan to replace the one tire and tube(I'll live with the other for a little while) and sand and paint as much as possible after I take it all apart. i plan to actually use this thing so i'm not gonna bother soda blasting it or anything.
Paint tomorrow. I'm gonna sand and lightly paint the bed after its put back together. I can't make this thing too nice or I'll never want to actually use it.
Got is mostly painted on Sunday. Started by hitting the rusty spots with some rust convert/primer.
Then green
Forgot to mention that when I tried to remove the 1/4" bolts that hold the tailgate latch to the bottom of the bed they broke. My welder was at work and I didnt feel like going to get it so I'll make that latch permenent some time this week.
Got my daughter out of the air conditioning for a little bit to help me get it put back toghether. I'll get the new tire installed at some point this week and hopefully get the thing rolling before the weekend.
Well I got the new tire on and wheels put back on the trailer. I drove it around the driveway and street a little bit and it works/looks great.
Night pics
Now I'll sand and paint the rest of the top rail and get the tailgate latch welded back on. I don't think I'm gonna do anything with the bed just yet. Might sand a little and spray some rust/convert/protect stuff on it.
