john deere lt 155

my lt 155 will hardly move in reverse or forward. where and how do I check the hydrostatic transmission fluid

This is John Deere's response:
The transmission is a sealed component. No maintenance is required on this transmission. If you suspect any transmission problems, please contact your John Deere dealer.

Hopefully someone else has more experience than I do with John Deere.
