I recently removed the fuel tank on my mower for cleaning and it was a very simple 30 minute task.
First step is to remove the single bolt holding the tank support arm behind the left wheel.
There are two bolts at the bottom rear of the tank remove these.
Remove the filler cap.
The tank will now come straight back and down slightly to clear the body part behind the seat.
That's it, I also disconnected the fuel line at the filter to allow for the tank to clear the body so that I could disconnect the fuel line.
