My JD LA150 won't start. It's not getting fuel to the engine. I've replaced the fuel pump, cleared to lines to the tank, emptied the tank, and changed the line filter. Still won't start. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Your problem is probably the float needle valve is stuck shut in the carburetor. This is common on these mowers after ethanol has time to do its little "dirty deeds" to rubber and plastic. I replaced my plastic needle valve that came on the mower with a brass one from B&S in a repair kit. No problems since.
I fought this problem for about 4 months before finally fixing it. When the needle was stuck, I'd pull the fuel hose off the fuel pump where it goes to the carburetor and pressurize it with 30 psi air to pop the needle out of its seat. It would work fine for a week or two and then stick again. I guess you could call me an "expert" at this wacky problem.
