When you said "Started mowing had to stop to pick up debri" did you stop the engine? Or did you just stop the blades and left the engine running.

Check the wires that plug into the back of the PTO switch are fully plugged in. Many times the vibration alone will cause that plug with the wires to come loose. It will be a rectangular shaped plug. I've seen this happen too many times thinking the worse only to find that I only had to push the plug back on to the switch.

I checked did see anything unplugged. The belts seem very loose but NOT sure if they are always this loose. I have engine off & engage blade but belt don't seem to tighten. Starting to think problem is w/ belt

If you have an electric clutch, the belt should "always" be tight. I am starting to think you "don't" have an electric clutch if you are looking for the belt to tighten when you engage the clutch.

Pretty sure it's the belt. I got under the deck & moved the belt & it isn't broken all the way but very close. Also looks like it is off one of the spindles. Thank for help I've ordered new belt.
