Check the oil level, is it above the mark and smells like gas. If so do not use and report back along with engine numbers. Also, why did you replace the fuel pump?

I change the pump because it would not stay running, especially when engaging blades. Afterwards i ran it for awhile and noticed oil leaking. I removed the dipstick while it was running and it appear to have some pressure, as if it had crankcase pressure or blow-by

Did you check the oil level and check to see if it smelled like gas?

YES, THE OIL LEVEL WAS A LITTLE LOW AND DID NOT SMELL ANY OIL. WHAT WAS ON YOUR MIND ABOUT THIS PROBLEM?

I was thinking that after you changed the pump the needle valve in the carb was sticking open. What you just told me, I was wrong. Now I'm leaning toward a blown head gasket. While running at mid throttle, if you loosen the dipstick cap and let it rest on the fill tube, does it bounce up and down. If it does, that means you are getting excess pressure in the crankcase and I would look into a bad head gasket. Do you have a compression gage or cylinder leak down tester? Also, please post your model numbers.

Head gasket sounds like a good possibility. I'll have to check compression. Do you know what the compression range is and what the torque specs are on the head bolts? THANKS -- Also added photos of my mower.

Like I said before, give me the model numbers. Don't know what engine you have. My ESP is down due to the lack of a satellite signal because of all the weird weather I've been having. Then I can answer your questions.
