John Deere JX75 fuel filter location

Can't seem to find the location. Engine model is 1998 FC-150 and filter is about 2" long and looks like it fits in a hose. M78605 is filter number. Does it fit in the tank? How do you access? Thanks for the help!

I can not find a parts diagram for your mower so I will just tell you it is either in the fuel tank or carb. Im betting fuel tank. Unscrew tha fuel line hook up. Fuel will come out so find something to catch the fuel.

Thanks for the reply. You were right about it being in the tank. I went to the local John Deere dealer to get the schematic and parts list. I will post here for all needing the info. Thanks again!
