John Deere GT235 idle issue

I have this gt235 with the 18hp Briggs and Stratton eng. with a surging problem. I have been told its the carb. I have tried Seafoam, no better, and taken the carb off and cleaned it as good as I can, can't get the float off though and get under it. Anything i'm missing???

got the same thing, i was told as well its a carb issue. Maybe try using an air hose and blowing about 100 psi of air pressure directly into the carb after removing the air filter with the engine running wide open. helped me out some. not sure tho
