John deere gs30 walk behind >> Blades will not engage

was cutting today and when I attempted to engage the blades for 2nd half of yard, the blades will not engage ?????? the switch works because when I pull it on the mower shuts down when handle is released...... PTO clutch ????? I followed the wires nothing seems frayed????? Belts are is good shape and everything seems to rotate smoothly when hand spun.....
help please

I have checked connectors and also replaced the clutch. PTO switch is working, because when I release the operator handles it will shut off the mower. In the tech manual it talks about a relay? Can you tell me where it is?? Mower was running and mowing fine and blades suddenly quit, engine and everything else works fine.
