John Deere D100 No breaks even after replacing pucks

John Deere D100 new to me.

Brakes could not be further adjusted with center nut. I replaced very worn pucks. Still no breaks. The arm that should press on the little adjustments pin does not touch the pins regardless of adjustment. More adjustment just causes the pop clutch reaction. I am attaching a photo to show that the pins don't contact the adjustment arm. The spring is in place although you can't see it in the photo. Is there some adjustment I am missing?

I don't see the wavy plate, when the lever is moved, that is supposed to push on the pins to activate the brake pucks against the brake disc. Someone has had this apart before you possibly.

The part is there AutoDoc. Now did the OP put in the brake puck spacer (flat rectangle piece of metal)? May even take one or more due disc rotor wear or aftermarket brake pucks to get the pins fully extended when the brakes are released.

Yes, the spacer is installed. I did use aftermarket pucks. They are full thickness (measured against the unworn edge of the used puck). The pins do extend. When the brake is fully engaged (and with parking brake on) The pin on one side is barely touched, the other one makes no contact with the arm.

Perhaps better photos clarify the situation. One shows the brake off (disengaged)/ The other shows that with the brake on. The arm cocks off to one side and doesn't contact one of the pucks at all. I cannot find any service manual. Could the spring/ linkage assembly that holds the left / top of the "wavy arm be needing adjustment? I can't figure out why the arm would not be putting any pressure on the pins. I have gone through a very well done how to video repeatedly and cannot see anything wrong, parts missing, etc.

It just occurred to me that the center threaded stem is adjusted all the way back by the nylon locking nut. Back that nut off to close the gap and see if the brakes begin to make better contact. Slowly adjust that nut until you get good brake pedal reaction and the brake lock the disc like they are supposed to.
