John Deere L110

My engine seems to hunt or search. The engine revs up and down over and over. This is only with the throttle in the high position or with the blade engaged. I have tried cleaning the carb numerous times. I even soaked it is carb cleaner the last time. I blew out the jets and stuck a small piece of copper wire through the jet to make sure it was clear.

What do you think is causing the engine to do this? It seems like it isn't getting a constant flow of fuel. I checked the fuel delivery to the carb and it is getting plenty of gas.

start it up and with it running spry a light mist of carb cleaner into the carb and see if that smooths it out if it does then you still have a fuel problem something still has dirt in it if it don't smooth out then you may have a air leak you would errs to spry around the carb mounting gaskets and see if that changes anything

+1 it "does" sound like air is entering into the engine after the carb. Check your intake gaskets.
