It seems the John Deere parts diagrams that I have seen online are not correct for the 522 that I have. I lost one of the auger bushings and my local JD dealer is no help. The unit I have has a rather large bushing with a flange that fits in the end plate and a C-clip goes on the end of the shaft to hold it in place.
The JD diagrams shows the shaft that takes the clip but not the proper bushing. Anybody have any Ideals?

Is this the part number you are looking at? PT9642
Yes but it does not look like that and it is not plastic. I'm looking for a larger metal bushing that is held on with a clip on the shaft. If you look at the auger shaft for the 522 you can see it is not threaded for a nut but has a groove for the clip. The 520 and 524 appear to just take the flanged bushing held on by 3 bolts. I fabricated a bushing that held-up through 1 snow, its not as sturdy as the original. I have also searched other sites showing very similar bushings but not with all the same dimensions. The flanged bushing I am looking for has the following dimensions: 0.75"ID, 1.25"OD, a flange on one end 1.5"OD, length 1". The 1.25"OD has 2 flats that keep it from spinning in the housing, I don not have the thickness at the flats. It's graphite impregnated. Any ideas or suggestions is greatly appreciated!
Thanks Chuck but I don't think that's the correct one either. Part number PT11831 is the same as the bushings inside the gear case. I think the bushing I'm looking for will not fit inside the gear case.

So you are looking for the bushing on the outside of the ogger?

What I found for the outside og the ogger is 2 washers and a snap ring. I circled them in red.

2 24H448 WASHER | 25/32in. X 1-1/8in. X 0.090in. $1.00
