Hi,
I am trying to source parts and repair a 1997 MM48RD deck, which I actually think is a Woods deck albeit in JD colours. I have the manual and it talks about checking the deck gearbox oil level by removing the check plug on the rear of the gearbox but I don't seem to have one or it has been sheared off by a previous owner?. The vent plug is present on top of the gearbox but is plastic and I am concerned if I try to gain access to the gearbox via this method it may well shear off also. Any advice re gearbox oil top up or change would be very much appreciated.
Regards
