My Dad passed away August 16th and we have been trying to sort through things. His 317 lawn tractor was working good, then it quit. We think we can get it running but we can't get it to roll. I know it has the hydrostatic transmission but we cannot find the release to let it roll to save our soul.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Turn the knob in the image clock wise so the mower can free wheel.
Thank you very much for the help. It turns out the buttons on the valves are stuck in place, so we will have to take the platform off. But we have a direction now so I really appreciate it.
