Hello, I have a John Deer Riding lawn mower. Is a 2006 year. I was cutting grass 2 days ago, the grass was like 12 inches tall, I live in Arizona. As I was cutting the grass, there was a lot of white smoke that came out from under the front of the mower. I shut it off and let it cool down. I checked the oil... it was full. The next day I went to finish the grass, and almost finished, there was a loud Pop from under the front, it stopped running. Let it cool down before I tried it again, all I got was a wining sound when I turned the key on, wouldn't start. Has a new Spark plug in all. What is wrong????

Post model & serial numbers as well as all numbers from engine and engine manufacturer. When mowing tall grass, especially with single cylinder engine, leave deck at highest setting for first mow and then lower deck and mow over blowing grass toward already cut grass. You probably put engine under heavy load, stress, trying to cut tall grass. Did engine spin over when you tried to restart?
